WHAT IS HUMAN RESOURSE MANAGEMENT ?

Human resource management is the'' strategic approach to nurturing and supporting employees and ensuring a positive workplace environment.''

It's functions vary across different bu and inustries,but typically includes recruitment,compensation and benefits,training and development, employee retentions.


WHAT ARE THE RESPONSIBILITIES OF HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT ?

  • Staffing

Staffing a business or an individual department requires a number of key steps. Hiring managers must first determine how many new employees the budjet can support, then find and interview qualified candidates and finally make selections and negotiable compensation.


  • Developing workplace policies

If it is determined that a new or revised policy is needed, HR professionals typically consult with executives and other managers, write the supporting documentation and communicate it to employees. Policies may cover vacations, dress codes, deciplinery actions and other types of workplace protocols.

  • Administering pay and benefits
In order to attract and retain talent,compensation must meet industry standards and be compareble to what other employees in similar roles are being paid. Creating such a fair pay system requires careful consideration.

  • Retaing talent
Compensation isn't the only thing that retains talented employees.HR managers may need to proactively address issues with workplace environments, otganizational culture and relationships between employees and supervisors.

  • Training employees
When employees develop new skills, they tend to be more productive and satisfied with their job. some of the training programs typically run by HR departments includes team-building activities, policy and ethics education, and on-the-job instructions and skills.

THREE MAJOR ROLES OF HUMAN RESOURSE MANAGEMENT 

1. Administrator 

Running pay roll, writing job descriptions,creating workplace policies and procuring benefits packages are typical of HR administration.

2. Change manager

HR Professionals must monitor regulations and communicate policy or procedural changes with employees to help support compliance.

3.Personnal manager

Managing people entails resolving conflicts,overseeing training and development, and fostering employee engagement.

             TYPES OF HR SOFTWARE


  • Applicant tracking system ( ATS )
This is a recruiting software for HR that simplifies an organization's hiring process.It typically manages tasks such as storing job applicants data,posting job openings to multiple job boards,screening applicants

  • Performance management
Designed for HR professionals,managers and employees to evaluate employee skills,set performance goals and track their improvemnts.

  • Onboarding
This software enables streamlining and tracking of the process of introducing new hires to an organization.It typically includes electronic signatures,training tracking,empoyee questionnaires and other automated functions.

  • Human Resource Information System ( HRIS)
Provide ls multiple HR functions such as managing payroll, recruiting,tracking,etc.



                             CONCLUSION

In conclusion, the practise of HRM needs to be integrated with the overall strategy to ensure effective use of people and provide better returns to the organizations in terms of ROI ( Return on Imvestment ) for every dollar or rupee spent on them.

  8. If an organization fail to have a proper function in HR, organization can not retain for a long time period since HR is a sensitive area where all the organization should prioritize this area to have a smooth function
